Woodland, Calif. - Brenda Villa (Commerce, CA) and Jackie Frank (Long Beach, CA) were named to the 2002 MPSF Championship All-Tournament First Team, while teammates Ellen Estes (Novato, CA) and Margie Dingeldein (Merced, CA) earned Second Team All-Tournament accolades.
Frank tallied 16 saves in goal for Stanford in three games. Dingeldein was the Cardinal's top scorer at the championships with eight goals. Estes added five and Villa netted four goals for Stanford.
The Cardinal received the at-large bid to compete at the 2002 NCAA Championships on May 11-12 at the McDonald's Swim Stadium in Los Angeles. Stanford will face Michigan in the first game of the championships on Saturday, May 11 at 3:30 p.m.
