COMMENTS FROM MARK MARQUESS
(on the final weekend of Pac-10 play) "It's exciting to have four teams still battling for the Pac-10 title going into the final weekend of Pac-10 play. We just need to play well in our series against Washington State and let the rest take of itself."

(on the team's upcoming series versus Washington State) "Washington State has played well on the road in Pac-10 action this season, winning two-of-three at both UCLA and Arizona."

(on starting to settle on the lineup) "We're pretty set, but I still have a little bit of flexibility because a lot of different guys play a lot of different positions."

(on Jeremy Guthrie) "Jeremy has done an excellent job as our Friday starter this season. He is deserving of all the honors that he is starting to receive."

(on Sam Fuld's current streak) "He's improved a lot as a hitter. He can do so many things -- hit with power, hit for average, bunt. He's just a tough out right now."

(on the big crowds at Sunken Diamond) "We've had great crowds and great fan support at Sunken Diamond."

(on the balance in the Pac-10) "Anybody is capable of beating another Pac-10 team in a series. All the teams have enough talent to do that. The league is very unpredictable and balanced."
