STANFORD, Calif. - The ninth-seeded UC Santa Barbara women's water polo team defeated eighth-seeded San Jose State 3-2 in the opening match of the MPSF Tournament on Friday morning at the Avery Aquatic Center.
The Gauchos will play top-seeded Stanford in the quarterfinals on Friday at 4:45 p.m. San Jose State will play in the ninth place match on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
