Four Cardinal Water Polo Players Selected to MPSF All-Academic Squad

Woodland, Calif. - The Stanford women's water polo team placed four student-athletes on the Academic All-MPSF Team announced today. Senior Jackie Frank (Long Beach, CA), junior Lauren Faust (Annapolis, MD), and sophomores Heather Stamper (Yorba Linda, CA) and Kelty Luber (Beaverton, OR) all met the criteria for the 2003 Academic All-MPSF honor.

Frank, who will graduate this June, holds a 3.44 GPA in Human Biology while Faust owns a 3.45 GPA as an American Studies major and Psychology minor. Both Frank and Faust are three-time recipients of this honor, having been named to the MPSF Academic Team the previous two seasons. Stamper is an Economics major and Science, Technology and Society minor with a 3.48 GPA. Luber has a 3.01 GPA as a Spanish and Portuguese major.

To be eligible for selection to the academic teams, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter of significant substitute and a sophomore academically.
