SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Cardinal Men had their most successful regatta at San Diego in recent history with a First place finish for the 2V (Open 8+ Event), a Second place finish for the Frosh and a Sixth place finish for the Varsity.
The Second Varsity raced from Lane 5 to an impressive win in a field littered with ex-Olympians and lightweight National Team hopefuls. The win complemented the Frosh showing from earlier in the day. The Cardinal took second to California in the Frosh event, defeating the University of Washington and Oregon State. This was the first time in 17 years that a Stanford boat at any level has beaten the University of Washington. The Cardinal Varsity raced to a 6th place finish.
The Cardinal next race on the weekend of April 17th and 18th against Oregon State and UCLA.
