Stanford Women's Crew is pleased to announce six athletes have been recognized by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association for the 2004 All-Region and Scholar Athlete awards.

For the All-Region award junior Missy Fiesler was named to the First Team and senior Melissa Haury was named Second Team. A maximum of four athletes plus one coxswain per institution may be nominated.

The All-Region teams were selected as follows: Teams with Varsity 8 boats that were ranked in the top 6 regionally as of the final NCAA Regional Ranking had athletes automatically distributed to the All-Region teams. At-large selections (for rowers from teams that have Varsity 8 boats which finished outside the top 6 regionally) were chosen by the Division I Awards committee based on boat performance, 2K erg score and coaches comments.

Stanford's Scholar Athlete receipts were: Melissa Haury (3.66, Human Biology), Molly Loeb (3.59, Political Science), Ashley Maloney (3.52, Earth Systems), and Margit Zwemer (3.64, Math).
