Azusa, Ca - Ahimsa Hodari and Nicholas Taylor reside in sixth and ninth place, respectively, after day one (Wednesday) of the California Invitational Heptathlon and Decathlon Championships at Azusa Pacific College.
Hodari has tallied 2,872 points in four events. Taylor has collected 3,377 points after five events.
Hodari collected her biggest point of the day in the day's first event, the 100 meters (782 points, 15.46m). Taylor, meanwhile, ended his day with 753 points in the 400 meters (51.37).
Twenty-six heptathletes are competing, while 22 athletes are competing in the decathlon.
