Walnut, Ca - Only two Stanford athletes competed at Sunday's conclusion of the Mt. SAC Relays, but what a weekend for Stanford transfer Michael Robertson.
Robertson, a junior, set the school record on Friday at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational (199-10, 60.91m), and he again broke his school record with a throw of 202-5 (61.70m) on Sunday. That easily is the best mark in the Pac-10 this year.
Robertson competed for SMU last year where he finished third in the discus at the NCAA's to earn All-American honors. SMU dropped its men's track & field program, thus Robertson did not have to redshirt this season.
