The #4 Cardinal Lightweights head to Lake Natoma this weekend for the Pacific Coast Rowing Championships. The Varsity 8 will face three top-15 boats in #6 San Diego State, #10 Loyola Marymount, and #14 California-Berkeley. Stanford has defeated these opponents earlier in the year, but is expecting some fast competition from their west coast rivals. The Card lights have won the Varsity 8 event at PCRCs the last three years.
Stanford's Lightweight Novice 8 will face Cal at PCRCs, the Card novices' last race of the year. The two walk-on infused boats first raced in mid-March with the Cal lights winning by a 2.5 second margin.
The Novice Lightweight 8 will race at 2 p.m. on Saturday followed by the Varsity Lightweight 8 at 3:20. For full regatta information, click here .
