Sophomore Rob Grube (Hinsdale, IL/Stevenson School) of the Stanford Men's Golf Team was selected as the Stanford/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of April 11-April 17.
Grube won the U.S Intercollegiate presented by The Maple Fund last weekend, leading his team to a third place finish behind UCLA and USC. The win was Grube's second individual title of the season and third of his career. Grube shot a 64 in the second round Saturday, a new season and career best for a single round.
This is Grube's first Stanford/MET-Rx Student-Athlete of the Week honor. Grube and the rest of the Cardinal Men's Golf Team will now prepare for the Pac-10 Championships in Palm Desert on April 24-26.
