Walnut Creek, Ca - Arianna Lambie, who helped lead the Stanford women's 4 x 1500 meter relay team to an American record and two school records at the recent Penn Relays, has been named the Pacific-10 Women's Track Athlete of the Week.
Lambie ran the anchor leg on Stanford's American record setting 4 x 1500 meter relay team. Lambie ran her 1500 meters in a time of 4:15.3. The team of Amanda Trotter, Lauren Centrowitz, Katy Trotter and Lambie chalked up an American record time of 17:18.83. That was also a school record, and the second fastest collegiate time ever.
Just a day earlier, Lambie ran the anchor leg on the distance medley relay team which set a school record of 10:58.72.
Lambie and Chauntae Bayne-Hackett have won three of the four weekly Pac-10 Track Athlete of the Week honors during the 2006 outdoor season.
