Stanford University placed eight student athletes on the 2007 MPSF-All-Academic Team, as announced by Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Executive Director Al Beaird Tuesday morning.
To be placed on the All-Academic team, students have to have earned a 3.0 or better grade point average and have competed in at least half of the games in his or her sport.
Katie Hansen, a 1st Team All-Conference selection, saw herself earn a spot on the All-Academic team through her studies as a Human Biology major. Meridith McColl and Christina Hewko also saw themselves make the team with their studies in International Relations. Alison Gregorka also saw herself make the team again with her studies in Urban Education.
Rounding out the selections was junior Jacquelyn Gauthier, who earns a spot on the team with her studies in Human Biology. The last three selections to the team haven't decided on a major yet, and were freshman Kira Hillman and sophomores Jessica Steffens and Heather West.
Stanford's eight members on the All-Academic selections ties them for the most selections with California and Hawaii.
