STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford junior forward Kayla Pedersen has been added to the USA Basketball Select Team, USA Basketball announced Sunday. Pedersen will join the 10 players selected to the roster on Thursday, including Stanford teammate Nnemkadi Ogwumike, as the Select Team will practice from April 15-18 and will scrimmage the USA Senior National Team during that camp.

Pedersen, a three-time gold medalist with USA Basketball's various junior teams, most recently shone in the 2010 NCAA Tournament, helping lead Stanford to the national championship game while earning selection to both the Sacramento All-Regional and All-Final Four Teams.

On the year, Pedersen averaged career-best totals of 15.8 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 45.9 percent from the field and 37.7 percent from three-point range. While earning a spot on the All-Pac-10 Team, Pedersen also worked her way up the Cardinal career record books, ending her junior season in the school's top-15 with 1,501 career points, and fourth with 986 career rebounds.

The USA Select Team begins training on April 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Conn. and will follow the USA National Team's practices at 12:30 p.m. on April 16-17. The USA squads will close out their training camps with a final scrimmage on April 18 (location and time TBD).

In addition to Pedersen, the USA Select Team includes: Kalana Greene (New York Liberty), Kelsey Griffin (Minnesota Lynx), Allison Hightower (Connecticut Sun), Jantel Lavender (Ohio State University), Jacinta Monroe (Washington Mystics), Nnemkadi Ogwumike (Stanford University), Andrea Riley (Los Angeles Sparks), Danielle Robinson (University of Oklahoma), Jasmine Thomas (Duke University) and Monica Wright (Minnesota Lynx).
