STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford women's water polo, ranked second in the nation, swept this week's MPSF awards as senior Kelly Eaton was named MPSF Player of the Week and freshman two-meter Annika Dries was selected MPSF Newcomer of the Week following the Cardinal's 10-6 win at No. 5 Hawai'i Sunday evening.

For each player, it is her second MPSF weekly nod of the season. Eaton was previously named player of the week on March 8, while Dries took home her first newcomer of the week honor on Feb. 11.

In Sunday's win, both Eaton and Dries posted hat tricks for Stanford, as Eaton led all players with four goals in the game, and Dries was right behind her with three.

Eaton scored twice in a 2:24 span as the Cardinal turned around an early 1-0 deficit, then Dries cashed in on a five-meter penalty shot with 41 seconds left in the opening frame to give the Cardinal a 4-1 lead after eight minutes.

The win upped Stanford's overall record to 20-1 and kept the Cardinal perfect in MPSF play at 5-0. The Cardinal returns home to Avery Aquatic Center this weekend, hosting California in the Big Splash at 6 p.m. Saturday night, April 17. Stanford will then complete the regular season the following Saturday, April 24 against No. 1 USC.
