STANFORD, Calif.-- With rain in the forecast, Stanford Baseball's game with Santa Clara on Monday has been postponed. No. 25-ranked Stanford (25-18) will now travel to San Jose State on Wednesday at in a game at historic Muni Stadium before hosting Washington State this weekend.
No makeup game for the fourth game in series between the county rivals has been set.
Stanford freshman Kenny Diekroeger enters the week on a 17-game hit streak and is batting .444 over the streak, raising his average to .362.
The Cardinal re-entered the rankings after a series win at Long Beach State this past weekend. The team ranks No. 25 in Baseball America as it returns to Pac-10 Conference play this weekend four games behind front-runner and No. 2-ranked Arizona State.
Friday's game with the Cougars will be broadcast on FSN West with Barry Tompkins and Morgan Ensberg calling the action for the 6 p.m start time. Fireworks will follow the game at Klein Field at Sunken Diamond.
