"I think that Bradley and I both played pretty solid return games all the way through today. We were having trouble putting first serves in the court and struggling with the breeze to really make some volleys that we normally would make a little easier. Things were pretty interesting out there even though we got that lead in the second set. We wanted to stay focused because we felt like anything could still happen."

"We started out well and went up 2-0 with a quick break and were playing pretty well. I thought our energy was a little low in the beginning, I didn't feel too tired, we were both just a little sluggish. We got down a break, 3-2, and then they were serving 5-4, 40-love and Ryan stepped up a ripped a backhand return right down the line. After that we just hung in there and they gave us a few missed volleys and double faults. It's funny how doubles works, the momentum changes are so sudden. It can change at any moment. I thought that we picked it up in the second set and were able to hold our serves easier. We made a few too many errors in the beginning, but then we cleaned it up as the match went on."

"It was a hard-earned win. That is a team that's beat us a few times in the past and they're No. 2 in the nation. You have to work hard just to get a win like that and we're really happy."

All of the teams are really good here, so you really have to play your best to win the games. I think when it got closer in the first set we were able to stick to our gameplan. Things have been going well, we just need to keep it going."

"I think we had to win the match at the net, so we tried to do that. We staggered really well. It's going to get really tough from now on. Everyone left is really good so it is going to be really tough competition. I think we are ready though."

But today we went after it a little more."
