At Stanford: Right-handed pitcher will miss entire 2009 season after undergoing successful "Tommy John" surgery...is in line to return in 2010...has appeared in 15 games (one start) over his first two seasons, with no record and a 7.29 ERA (17er, 21.0ip)...when healthy, can throw any of four pitches for strikes.

As a Sophomore in 2008: Pitched in seven games, including one start...posted an 8.22 ERA (7er, 7.2ip); however, overall numbers were skewed by final appearance April 28 at Santa Clara (3er, 1.1ip)...made his first career start April 9 vs. UC Davis, working the first 1.1 innings of the mid-week contest...all seven outings came in non-conference play, including 0.1-scoreless frame in a 6-5 victory at Cal State Fullerton on March 2.

As a Freshman in 2007: Worked his way into eight games in relief...did not record a decision and posted a 6.75 ERA (10er, 13.1ip) with nine strikeouts...made six of his eight appearances over the final six weeks of the campaign.
