No. 3 Cardinal Close Out Regular Season with Win at ASU, 81-62
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Olympia Scott had 23 points and 12 rebounds and Kristen Folklscored 15 points as Stanford closed out the regular season withan 81-62 victory over Pacific 10 rival Arizona State.
Folkl made all seven of her field goal attempts, including sixin the first half, for the Cardinal, who made 50 percent(30-of-60) from the floor.
Stanford never trailed after Folkl scored on follow-up shot togive the Cardinal an 18-17 lead with 7:07 to go. That sparked a25-7 run. She scored 10 points during the stretch that concludedwith a lay-up with one second remaining to give Stanford a 41-24halftime lead. Folkl also contributed three blocked shots in 19minutes.
Molly Tutor had 15 points and eight rebounds and La Toya Johnsonadded 12 and seven for the Sun Devils, who made just 31 percent(21-of-67) of their field-goal attempts. Arizona State couldget no closer than 12 points and trailed by as many as 26 in thesecond half.
