No. 3 Stanford Breaks Conference Mark With 29th Straight Pac-10 Victory, 91-68
STANFORD, Calif. -- Kate Starbird scored a season-high 37 points as third-rankedStanford broke its own Pac-10 record with its 29th straightconference victory, 91-68 over Arizona.
Starbird was 11-for-18 from the field, including 5-for-11 fromthree-point range. She also hit all 10 of her free-throwattempts and came within seven points of her career high, set ayear ago against Southern California.
Olympia Scott added 11 points and Charmin Smith 10 for theCardinal (14-1, 2-0 Pac-10), who have beaten Arizona 21 straighttimes and extended their home winning streak to 39.
Adia Barnes had 17 points and seven rebounds for the Sun Devils(10-2, 1-1), who committed 25 turnovers and were outrebounded,40-29.
