Erica McLain Named Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Senior Erica McLain (Plano, Texas/Plano East) of the Stanford women's track and field team was selected as the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Mar. 10-Mar. 16.

McLain captured her second consecutive NCAA Championship in the triple jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships.  McLain's mark of 46-7 1/4 was a Stanford record as well as being the top mark in the nation this year.  McLain also established the American collegiate record in the triple jump.  Also competing in the long jump where she finished fourth, McLain earned her 11th and 12th All-America honors of her career.

This is McLain's first Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete Week honor this year and the second of her career.  McLain now will embark on the track and field outdoor season to conclude her career at Stanford.
