Sho Nakamori Named Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Redshirt senior Sho Nakamori was selected as the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for March 30-April 5, 2009.

Redshirt senior Sho Nakamori of the Stanford men's gymnastics team was selected as the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for March 30-April 5, 2009.

Nakamori helped lift the Cardinal past defending national champion Oklahoma at the 2009 MPSF Championships on April 4, 2009 by posting six scores about 15.0 which contributed to Stanford team score of 36375, the squad's highest total of the year.

Nakamori captured four individual event titles (pommel horse, parallel bars, horizontal bar, and all-around) and was named the MPSF Gymnast of the Year for his performances at the conference meet and over the course of the season.

His scores of 15.45 on floor exercise, 15.25 on pommel horse, 15.55 on vault, and 91.85 in all-around at the MPSF Championships marked career best marks, while his 15.2 on still rings qualified as a personal season best.

This is Nakamori's first Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor in his career.

Past Student-Athletes of the Week
