Chris Owusu Named Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Sophomore Chris Owusu (Westlake Village, CA/Oaks Christian School) of the Stanford football team was selected as the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of September 7-13.

STANFORD, Calif.-- Stanford sophomore Chris Owusu (Westlake Village,Calif.) was named Stanford Athletics Muscle Milk Athlete of the Week forhis performance at Washington State this past weekend.

Owusu tallied the first two touchdowns of his career on Saturday, catchinga 63-yard pass from Andrew Luck in the second quarter to make it 14-3,before running back a kickoff for 85 yards in the third quarter to make it29-10. The kickoff return was the longest return since T.J. Rushing ranback an 87-yard against Notre Dame at Stanford Stadium in 2005.

The Stanford Cardinal remain on the road this week when they travel toWake Forest in North Carolina for the first-ever meeting with the DemonDeacons.
