Bradley Klahn Named Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week

Freshman Bradley Klahn of the Stanford men's tennis team was selected as the Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week for April 20-26, 2009. Klahn became the fourth Cardinal men's tennis player in program history to win both the Pac-10 Singles and Doubles Championships in the same year this past Sunday, April 26 in Ojai, Calif.
Ranked No. 48 in the nation, Klahn won five singles and four doubles matches over the course of four days to complete the double. He won all five singles matches in straight sets, defeating four ranked opponents including USC's No. 7 Robert Farah in the semifinals, 6-2, 7-5, and No. 67 Steve Johnson in the finals, 7-6(4), 6-4.He and fellow freshman Ryan Thacher, who make up the No. 45 doubles team in the nation, dispatched two ranked doubles pairs, including the No. 2 tandem of Farah and Johnson in the semis, before beating UCLA's Michael Look and Eugen Brazdil in a three-set thriller, 6-3, 3-6, 7-6(2).
This is Klahn's first Stanford/Muscle Milk Student-Athlete of the Week honor in his career.
