Off Highway 101: Use the Embarcadero Road exit and head west on Embarcadero Road. After crossing El Camino Real, you will be on the Stanford campus and the road becomes Galvez Drive. Take your second left onto Campus Drive and the Stanford Athletics offices will be located about 1/8 of a mile on your left in the Arrillaga Family Sports Center. Off Interstate 280: Use the Page Mill Road exit and head east. Turn left onto El Camino Real and then left again onto Galvez Drive. Take your second left onto Campus Drive and the Stanford Athletics offices will be located about 1/8 of a mile on your left in the Arrillaga Family Sports Center. Parking: There are several parking lots in the vicinity of the Stanford Athletics offices and facilities that are free of charge after 4:00 pm on weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday. There is also visitor pay parking at the Trackhouse Lot on the corners of Campus and Galvez, as well as metered parking in several other nearby parking areas. Public Transportation: The Stanford Athletics offices and many of the facilities are located a short distance from the Palo Alto Caltrain station near El Camino Real and University Avenue. In addition, several Valley Transportation Authority bus lines run along El Camino Real with a stop at the Palo Alto Caltrain station. There is also a free Marguerite Shuttle that runs regularly from the Palo Alto Caltrain Station to various locations on campus, including one at the corner of Campus and Galvez, which is about a five minute walk from the Stanford Athletics offices and many of the facilities. Gametracker/Live Stats: A live statistical account of every home baseball, basketball, football, softball, swimming and tennis contest is scheduled to be available online at gostanford.com. Additional home and away events may also be available. Check gostanford.com for an updated schedule. Opponents can link to all live statistical accounts provided by Stanford Athletics on their website free of charge. To arrange your own live stats, Gametracker or other similar production at a Stanford Athletics event, please contact Kyle McRae in the media relations office as soon as possible before your event at Stanford. General Information: The Stanford Athletics Media Relations Office can provide media members with biographical information on coaches and student-athletes, historical and statistical information, media guides, photographs and much more. Please contact the Stanford Athletics Media Relations Office to obtain this information. Internet Access: The press areas for baseball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, football, men’s volleyball and women’s volleyball all have reliable functioning wireless internet access. Other sports may also have wireless access or wired connections. Please contact the media relations contact for each sport for more information and an access user name and password. Interviews: All coach and student-athlete interviews should be directed through the media relations contact for each sport (Football: Gary Migdol for coaches; Kyle McRae for players). Coaches and players are normally available for post-game interviews at a location arranged by the media relations contact approximately 10 minutes after each contest. Media members should inform the media relations contact which players are requested for post-game interviews. For post-game interviews with opponents, please contact the media relations contact representing the visiting team. For all other non-gameday Stanford interviews, please contact the media relations sports contact to arrange a convenient time for all parties. Media Credentials: Requests for all media credentials should be addressed to the media relations contact for each sport (Gary Migdol for football) via email, fax, or phone. Single sport season credentials will be available to media covering Stanford men’s basketball, women’s basketball or football on a regular basis and issued at the discretion of the media relations contact. Single game credentials will also be available for those media members covering Stanford men’s basketball, women’s basketball or football occasionally, or for media of visiting teams in those sports. One season credential will be issued to media that will allow them access to all other regular season Stanford Athletics events. Credentials will be mailed if time permits or can be picked up at Media Will Call at either Stanford Stadium (Gate 4) for football, Maples Pavilion for men’s and women’s basketball and women’s volleyball, or at the designated Media Will Call location of any other facility. Arrangements to pick up credentials at another time or date can be made by contacting the media relations contact for each sport. Media Guides: Media guides for Stanford Athletics teams are produced for nearly every sport. Media guides are made available to credentialed members of the media free of charge. For non-media members, please call the Stanford Athletics Ticket Office (1-800-STANFORD) to purchase media guides. Photography Guidelines: Photography guidelines vary depending on the facility. Flash photography is not permitted at any facility unless previously arranged. Press Conferences: Press conferences are held for football and men’s basketball on a weekly basis when those two sports are in season. The weekly press conferences for the 2007 football season will be held on the Directors’ Level of the Stanford Stadium Skybox each Tuesday at 11:30 am, PT. The regular season press conferences will begin on August 28 and run through November 27. The time and date of the 2007-08 men’s basketball weekly press conferences is still to be announced. Press conferences for other teams or events may be announced throughout the season. Press Releases: Press releases with detailed information on Stanford Athletics teams will be produced on a regular basis. All press releases will be available at gostanford.com, emailed to media members upon request and provided at events. To be added to a media email list, please contact the media relations contact for each sport. Press Services: Press releases, gameday programs, media guides, starting lineups and other relevant media materials will be provided to members of the media. An NCAA box score and play-by-play (if requested) will be available approximately 10 minutes after the conclusion of each game. In addition, drinks and food (for selected teams and games) will be provided to credentialed members of the media. Stat Monitors: Stat monitors will be available to broadcast members of the media for the sports of baseball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, football and women’s volleyball. Stat monitors may also be available for broadcast members of the media in other sports upon request. Telephones: Arrangements for a telephone in the Stanford Stadium Skybox for Stanford football games should be made directly with Stanford Telecommunications by calling (650) 725-4357 at least two weeks before the desired game.
