STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford softball’s Leah White earned #GoStanford Student-Athlete of the Week honors after helping the Cardinal earn victories against No. 3/4 Alabama, Cal Poly and Pacific at the Nike Invitational.
White led Stanford offensively, batting .429 (6-for-14) with five RBI, five runs, two triples and a double. She registered at least one hit in four-of-five games.
Three of White’s RBIs came against No. 3/4 Alabama, including one in Stanford’s 4-1 victory on Saturday. White recorded RBI-triples in successive at-bats against Pacific to help Stanford earn a 9-5 victory.
White is the second softball player to earn the weekly award this season after Lauren Bertoy claimed the honor a week ago.
White and the Cardinal play host to UC Davis on Wednesday at 5 p.m. (PT) before heading to the Mary Nutter Classic in Cathedral City, California, this weekend.
