DAVIS, Calif. - The Stanford wrestling team completed the 2010 Pac-10 Championships, Saturday, finishing in sixth place with 87.0 points. Sophomore Nick Amuchastegui won the 165-pound title and an automatic berth in the NCAA Championships.

Oregon State took home the 2010 Pac-10 Championship with 127.0 points. Last year's champion, Boise State, came in third with 125.0 points.

Amuchastegui used a 2-1 decision over Oregon State's Daniel Brascetta to win the title. The Talent, Ore., native improves to 29-4 and will compete at the NCAA Championships for the second year in a row.

Freshman Ryan Mango won two matches Saturday to place third at 125 pounds. The St. Louis, Mo., native also earned an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. Mango defeated Boise State's Allen Bartelli, 8-5, in the consolation round and Cal State Fullerton's Andre Gonzalez, 8-5, in the third-place match.

Junior Zack Giesen, ranked No. 12 nationally, finished third at 184 pounds. He pinned Oregon State's Ty Vinson in 42 seconds to advance to the third-place match. He will now wait to see if he will earn an at-large berth to the NCAA Championships.

Juniors Lucas Espericueta and  Justin Paulsen, and freshman Richard Kessler all finished fifth at 157 pounds, 133 pounds and 197 pounds, respectively. Senior Jake Johnson placed sixth at 174 pounds, while senior Tyler Parkertook seventh place at 149 pounds.

The Cardinal will now prepare for the NCAA Championships, held at the Qwest Center March 18-20 in Omaha, Neb.
