• At the 2021 Woodbridge Invite in Irvine, Leo clocked 13:38.1, the fastest three-mile high school cross country time in history
• At the 2021 RunningLane Cross Country Nationals, Leo was second in 14:05.1, the second-fastest cross-country 5K of all-time 
• Second in the mile at the Nike Outdoor Nationals in 4:02.58, the No. 8 time among high schoolers in 2023 
• Ran his mile PB of 4:00.77 at the 2022 Azusa Pacific Meet of Champions Distance Classic

Personal

• Parents are Lynne and Andrew Young
• Brothers are Nico, who runs for Northern Arizona and is among the nation's top collegiate distance runners, and twin Lex, a Stanford teammate
• Leo and Lex have their own YouTube channel, "L&L", where they share their running careers and seek to inspire young runners
• Board member of Doctors of the World, an international humanitarian organization which seeks to provide emergency and long-term medical care to the world's most vulnerable people
