2011 Season (Freshman): Qualified for the NCAA Preliminary Round in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing 28th with a time of 9:08.90 ... placed 12th at the Pac-10 Championships in the steeplechase with a time of 9:29.05 ... ran a personal best of 9:04.65 in the steeplechase at the Payton Jordan Invitational ... earned a personal best of 3:53.82 in the 1,500 meters at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational ... placed fifth in the steeplechase at the Big Meet (9:19.09) ... redshirted the indoor season.

High School: All-state in 2009 after placing sixth at the Division-I California State meet in cross country ... the 2009 Marmonte League Athlete of the Year ... team MVP in both 2008 and 2009 ... led Royal to the runner-up spot at the 2006 and 2009 California State meet in cross country ... team placed fifth at the state meet in 2008 ... team placed second at Nike Team Nationals in 2006 and 15th in 2009 ... two-time team captain in cross country and once in track ... earned the 2010 Highlander Award, the highest honor earned in track and field at Royal ... All-Marmonte League in track and field in 2010 ... holds the Royal High School record at 1,600 meters (4:11) and for cross country over 3 miles (14:21), 5,000 meters (15:17) and on its home cross country course (15:36).

John was a swimmer at Cal Poly and Stacy was a volleyball player also at Cal Poly ... stepfather is Nelson Adrian ... four siblings, Tyler, Rachelle, Monica and Hailey ... hobbies include Ultimate Frisbee, snowboarding and basketball.
