Mandy Hart enters her fourth year as an assistant coach with the field hockey program.
Hart enjoyed a successful playing career at Penn State from 1996-2000. During her senior season in 2000, Hart was named a third team All-American, second team All-Big Ten selection and South Jersey Collegiate Defensive Player of the Year. A center back for the Nittany Lions, she also served as the team captain in 1999 and 2000.
In 1998, Hart started all 23 games for a Penn State defense that helped goalkeeper Jamie Smith post seven shutouts. The Nittany Lions blanked three nationally-ranked opponents, including Massachusetts in the NCAA first round. Hart was named to the Big Ten's All-Academic team.
While at Penn State, Hart was a member of three Big Ten championship squads (1996-98) and four NCAA Tournament teams.
Hart graduated with a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology in 2001. She has also worked in Pharmaceutical Sales.
During her senior season at Haddonfield Memorial High School in New Jersey, Hart scored seven goals while anchoring a defense that recorded 13 shutouts. Hart gained numerous honors including first team All-Conference, first team All-Group Two, first team All-South Jersey, and first team All-State. She also played in the Garden States Games and the 1995 and 1996 National Futures Tournaments.
