Prior to Stanford
- Spent one season at Yale University, playing in all 10 games
- Tallied 31 tackles (27 solo), three tackles-for-loss, a sack, eight pass breakups and a forced fumble in his lone season with the Bulldogs

- Earned seven varsity letters at Episcopal– three from football (2021-2023) and four from basketball (2020-2024)

Personal
- Son of Charann and Oliver Thompson
- Has a younger sister, Kendal, and two older brothers, Bryce and Branden
- Grandfather, Charlie McNeil, played defensive back in the NFL for the San Diego Chargers from 1960-1964 and set the AFL records for most interception yardage in a season (341 yards, 1961) and in a single game (177 yards, 1961)
- Hopes to study Political Science at Stanford
