- Son of Anna and Andy Mignery
- Has a younger sister named Madi and a younger brother named Wesley
- Father played football at Michigan from 1999-2003 as a quarterback and tight end, before transitioning to tight end by the end of his career
- Signed as an undrafted free agent with the New England Patriots in 2004
- Mother was a member of the track & field team at Michigan from 1999-2003, beginning her career as a long jumper before transitioning to the pole vault
- Grandfather, David Fisher, played football at Michigan from 1964-67 as a fullback
- Earned the Big Ten Medal of Honor (1967)
- Named First Team All-Big Ten and an Academic All-American (1966)
