Darius Reese enters is sixth season on The Farm in 2020 and his second as the Assistant Director, Football Sports Performance. He has worked full-time with the football program in the past five seasons.

Reese began his time with the Cardinal as an intern in 2015, before becoming a Graduate Assistant then a full-time Sports Performance Coach. As a full-time coach, he was an Associate Football Sports Performance coach for football and also designed and implemented the training programs for Wrestling and Men’s Gymnastics. As a Graduate Assistant, Reese oversaw the annual program for Men’s Gymnastics and 2015-2016 National Champion Women’s Lightweight Rowing team. Before becoming a Graduate Assistant, Reese assisted with Baseball, Softball, Men’s and Women’s Water Polo, Women’s Rowing and Women’s Gymnastics training programs.

Prior to his arrival on The Farm, Reese was a football strength and conditioning intern at Portland State, where he assisted with all aspects of the strength, speed, and agility for Football and Women’s Tennis programs.

Reese also served as a volunteer strength and conditioning intern at Bellarmine Preparatory (Calif.).

He was born and raised in Duarte, California, and graduated from San Jose State in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise and Fitness and 2017 with a Master’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology. 

Reese is C.S.C.S., USAW Level 1, FMS, MobilityWOD Specialist, CPR, AED and First Aid certified.
