Prior to Stanford
- Spent the first four seasons of his collegiate career at Harvard
- Played 26 games and made 22 starts for the Crimson, including every game over his final two seasons
- Helped Harvard win at least a share of three consecutive Ivy League titles (2023-25)
- Harvard finished the 2025 season with the 11th-best scoring offense in FCS, thanks in part to Kilstrom
- Along the rest of the offensive line, did not allow a sack in the first four games of the 2025 season, and just 12 sacks in 11 games
- Helped pave the way for a top-30 rushing attack in FCS, as the Crimson had 23 rushing touchdowns in 2025
- Prepped at Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf, Iowa, for head coach Rusty VanWetzinga
- Played on both the offensive and defensive lines, earning two varsity letters
- Earned three varsity letters on the wrestling team and spent one season as the school’s goalkeeper on the soccer team
- Reached the state tournament twice, including the semifinals in 2020, Pleasant Valley’s first semifinals appearance in 26 years
