As a Sophomore in 2014

• MPSF All-Academic selection
• Placed 10th on floor at the NCAA Championships Semifinals (April 9)
• Finished eighth on floor with a 15.050 at the MPSF Championships (March 28)
• Scored a career-high 15.200 on floor at the Metroplex Challenge against Oklahoma (Feb. 14)
• Set a collegiate best on pommel horse (14.050) against California (Jan. 18)
• Sidelined by injury for postseason competition
• Competed in seven meets on floor, four on vault and high bar, and three on pommel horse
• CGA Academic First-Team All-American
• MPSF All-Academic selection

As a Freshman in 2013

• Placed fifth on vault at the NCAA Championships Semifinals tying his collegiate-best of 14.850 (April 19)
• Finished sixth on vault (14.850), ninth on high bar (14.250) and tied for 10th on floor (14.650) at the MPSF Championships (April 6)
• Competed in nine of ten meets on vault, six on floor and high bar, and once on parallel bars

High School

• A 2012 graduate of Williston Northampton School in Easthampton, Mass.
• 2011 Level 10 floor and vault national champion and second place in the all-around
• Level 10 Junior National Team member 2009-12
• Competed for the U.S. at the 2012 Pan-American Championships in Medellin, Colombia
• Participated in the U.S. Junior National Team training camps at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. (2008-12)

Personal

• Son of David and Angelica Deaton
• Has two siblings, Chantal and Fabienne
• Anticipating a major in bioengineering and a possible profession as a medical surgeon
• Bioengineering lab researcher in the Quake Lab during the summer of 2014
• Volunteers at the Stanford Hospital
• Enjoys playing guitar and reading
