• Reached the 2011 CIF San Diego Section Division I final for Torrey Pines High of San Diego 
• A member of Volleyball Magazine's Fab 50 for the class of 2011 
• First-team All-CIF San Diego Section in 2011, and second team in 2010 
• The Falcons won the 2009 Avocado League title 
• Was a two-time All-Avocado League first-team choice as a junior and senior 
• Named to the All-America team at the U.S. Junior Boys' National Championships in 2010 after his Seaside club captured the 17-and-under open title
• Played for the San Diego Shorebreak Volleyball Club in 2010-11 
• Played for the same high school that produced current Stanford setter Evan Barry, as well as Cardinal and NFL football great John Lynch 
• Was a three-year varsity starter

• Has a younger sister, Marina, and brother, Ryan 
• Anticipates majoring in computer science with the goal of becoming a software engineer
• Enjoys programming, soccer, and watching sports
