  • Won 12 Montana Class AA titles while running for Billings Senior High School
  • Gatorade Montana Track and Field Athlete of the Year in 2015 and 2016
  • Set Montana all-class meet records in the 800 (2:05.65), 1,600 (4:43.51), and 3,200 (10:22.10) at the 2016 state championships
  • Won state Class AA 400 titles from 2013-15, but false-started in 2016
  • Qualified for the Olympic Trials by running 4:09.27 to win the second section at the Portland (Ore.) Track Festival
  • Ran 4:11.24 to win the second section of the Payton Jordan Invitational at Stanford
  • Won the 2015 Brooks PR Invitational in 2:04.00
  • Captured the Adidas Dream Mile in New York with a personal best mile of 4:37.91

Personal

  • Father, Chuck, ran at Notre Dame and was among the top U.S. milers in the 1980s and is best known for his dive to the finish at the 1984 Olympic Trials 1,500 final, in a vain attempt to edge Sydney Maree for third
  • Mother, the former Kathy Pfiefer, starred at New Mexico and ran in three Olympic Trials, including the 1984 marathon
  • Sisters Alexa and Danielle were state high school champions, and stars at Notre Dame
  • An Aragon sister won a Montana state title for 12 consecutive years
