- Parents are Lee and Breeda Willis
- Mother ran the 5,000 and 10,000 for Ireland at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney
- Volunteered as part of a pen pal program with elementary school students and children with special needs
- An accomplished violin player
- Donated her time with the Uplift Foundation, an organization that raises money for women and children in crisis throughout the country
