  • Made collegiate debut at the Championships at the Peak at Air Force

  • The distance placed him No. 8 on Stanford's all-time indoor performers' list
  • It was the longest jump by a Stanford true freshman in 43 years
  • The distance placed him No. 5 on Stanford's all-time freshmen performers' list, including indoors and outdoors
  • That jump came on his sixth and final attempt to seize the lead, but the final jumper exceeded that to win

Prior to Stanford

  • A 2020 graduate of John C. Kimball High School in Tracy, Calif. 
  • Runner-up at the 2019 California state meet in the long jump, spanning 23-9 1/4
  • Also a 2019 state qualifier in the triple jump
  • The 2019 Sac-Joaquin Section Masters meet champion in the triple jump, runner-up in the long jump and a qualifier in the 110 high hurdles
  • At the 2019 Sac-Joaquin Division III championships, won the long and triple jumps, was third in the high jump, and fifth in the 110 hurdles
  • Triple winner (long, triple, 110 hurdles) at the Valley Oak League championships

Personal

  • Identical twin, David, competes in track at UC Davis
  • Parents are Dwight K. Hunter and Tammy Marie Hunter Culberson
  • Has two older sisters, Catherine Cuestas and Rachael Ibarra
  • Father played football at Oregon State
