- Has an older sister, Alexandra
- Father, Joseph Briski, was an elite athlete in two sports
- Joseph competed in the four-man bobsled at the 1984 Winter Olympics, placing fifth
- Joseph also competed in the 1984 Olympic track and field trials in the hammer throw
- Mother, Carolyn, won the SoCal Women’s Open Marathon at age 12 (3:37.4), setting an age group world record
