2014 Season: Outdoors - Earned her second consecutive U.S. junior national title in the javelin with a season best 175-0 (53.35 meters) ... the throw placed her No. 2 on both the Stanford all-time and freshman lists ... advanced to the IAAF World Junior Championships in Eugene, Ore. ... finished second to teammate Brianna Bain at the Pac-12 Championships (164-8) ... advanced to the NCAA West Prelims and placed 17th (151-11) ... second in the Big Meet in the javelin and third in the discus (122-3 in her only competition in that event) ... made her collegiate debut at the Hornet Invitational on March 22, winning the javelin with a throw of 159-10 ... trailed going into final throw, but improved by seven feet ... it was the fourth-longest in Stanford history and the second longest ever by a Stanford freshman. Nye also played volleyball at Weber State before transferring to Texas ... has two younger sisters, Chrissy and Jaynie, and a younger brother, Tom ... all are also training in the javelin ...
