As a senior (2018):
Outdoors

  • Anchored 4x400 relay to school records in consecutive meets, at the NCAA West Prelims (3:04.84) and NCAA semifinals (3:04.82).
  • Advanced to the NCAA final in the 4x400, the first time ever for Stanford.
  • Ran a 45.57 split on on his NCAA semifinal anchor.
  • Earned first All-America honor, in the 4x100 relay, running the third leg as Card placed 19th in semifinals.
  • Earned first first-team All-America honor in the 4x400, as team placed eighth.
  • Part of the five fastest 4x400 relays in Stanford outdoor history.
  • Set Big Meet record by winning the 100 in 10.41, the second-fastest time in school history.
  • Swept the 100 and 200 at the Big Meet for the third time.
  • Including relays, had nine Big Meet victories in his career.
  • Third place in 200 was Stanford's highest conference finish in that event since 1997.
  • Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
  • Received the Jake Gimbel Award at the annual Stanford Athletic Board awards luncheon, for best competitive attitude by a male Stanford athlete.

  • Ran the second leg on school record distance medley relay team, at the Alex Wilson Invite, in 9:26.91.
  • Ran the third leg on Stanford's third-place 4x400 relay team.
  • MPSF All-Academic team.

As a junior (2017):
Outdoors

  • Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
  • Big Meet 100, 200 and 4x100 winner.
  • Anchored the Big Meet-winning 4x100.
  • Ran season best in the 100 of 10.74 to place 14th at Pac-12 Championships.

Indoors

  • Ran the third leg on Stanford's indoor record-setting 4x400 relay team, which ran 3:09.80.
  • Ran a 47.6 split as team placed second at the MPSF Championships with that time.
  • The same foursome holds Stanford records indoors and outdoors in the 4x400.
  • In his indoor debut 200, ran 21.62 at the Don Kirby Invitational, the fastest by a Stanford runner in six years.
  • The time placed him No. 6 on Stanford's all-time indoor peformers' list.
  • MPSF All-Academic selection.

As a sophomore (2016):
Outdoors

  • Ran the third leg on Pac-12 championship 4x400 team.
  • It was Stanford's first men's 4x400 or mile relay conference winner since 1954.
  • Brandt-Sims ran a 47.4 split to keep Stanford in front.
  • Ran the third leg to help team to a 4x400 school record at the Michael Johnson Invite in Waco, Texas.
  • The quartet ran 3:05.59 to break the 1978 mark of 3:06.74 on a team anchored by James Lofton.
  • Brandt-Sims ran a 46.4 split.
  • Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
  • Big Meet 4x400 relay winner.
  • Stanford had to win the 4x400 to win the Big Meet.

Indoors

  • Made collegiate indoor debut at the Don Kirby Invitational in Albuquerque, running 6.81, to just miss the school 60 record by 0.01.
  • Ran 6.88 in the 60 prelims at the MPSF Championships, placing 12th overall.
  • Took the second leg of the sixth-place 4x400 at MPSF's.
  • 11th fastest football player from a Power Five conference in the 60 for the season.

As a freshman (2015):
Outdoors

  • Won the 100 and 200 at the Big Meet.
  • He set two personal records that day, 10.53 in the 100 and 20.93 in the 200.
  • The 200 time was a Stanford freshman record.
  • His 100 time placed him No. 3 among Stanford freshmen all-time.
  • By placing eighth in the 200 at Pac-12s, he became the first from Stanford to make a conference final in the short sprints since 2010.
  • Advanced to the NCAA West Prelims in the 200, finishing fifth in his first-round heat and did not advance.
  • Made collegiate debut at the Stanford Invitational, finishing fourth in his 200 heat (21.52) and ninth as the third leg in the 4x400 relay (3:20.83).
  • Did not train for track until January, because of football.

Indoors

  • Did not compete.

High School:

  • Became the first in history to win the Washington state 100 and 200 titles all four years in the state's highest classification (4A).
  • Ran the fastest indoor 200 in the nation in 2014, a 21.47.
  • Had a wind-aided best of 10.48.

Personal:

  • Plays wide receiver for the Stanford football team.
  • Began competing in track at age 9 in the Hershey's league.
  • Born three months premature and weighed only 2 lbs., 6 oz., at birth.
  • Graduated with a bachelor's in computer science and now is working toward his master's in the same field.
