  • Sixth at the Pac-12 Championships 400 in a collegiate best 47.10.
  • Ran lead off on both relays that won at the Big Meet vs. Cal.
  • Is part of the four fastest 4x400 relay teams in school history.

  • Ran the opening leg of the 4x400 team that set a school record at the MPSF Championships.
  • Kurtz ran a 48.9 split and the team placed second at 3:09.80.
  • Ran the second leg of the winning 4x400 relay team at the UW Indoor Preview.

As a sophomore (2016):
Outdoors

  • Second leg on Stanford's Pac-12-winning 4x400 relay team.
  • It was Stanford's first 4x400 or mile relay conference title since 1954.
  • Got the baton in first and didn't give up the lead while running a 47.3 split.
  • Ran a 46.6 second-leg split on school-record 3:05.59 at the Michael Johnson Invite.
  • Won the Big Meet in his only open 400 of the season.

Indoors

  • Did not compete.

As a freshman (2015):
Outdoors

  • Fourth in the Big Meet in the 400 (49.48).
  • Season limited by illness.

Indoors

  • Made collegiate debut at the UW Indoor Classic, his only meet of the season.
  • Also ran leadoff on a 4x400 that ran 3:21.50 and placed third in its heat at the same meet.

High School:

  • Fourth in the 400 at the 2013 California state meet, running 47.14.
  • Set his personal best of 47.03 in winning the 2013 Sacramento Meet of Champions, breaking a 16-year-old meet record.
  • Won the 2014 North Coast Section Meet of Champions 400 title in 47.66 to qualify for the state meet, but did not compete there because of injury.
  • Won four North Coast Section Tri-Valley Area individual titles: three in the 400 and one in the 200.
  • Was the 400 runner-up at the 2013 NCS Meet of Champions.
  • Two-time Stanford Invitational winner while at Brentwood.
  • Broke school records in the 100, 200, and 400.
