Shelbi Chandler joined the Stanford women’s basketball program as an intern in the summer of 2016.
 
A four-year letterwinner at Cincinnati, in early March Chandler was one of 75 women’s college basketball players selected to participate in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association’s (WBCA) 14th annual "So You Want To Be A Coach" program. The event, which centers on a three-day workshop held in conjunction with the WBCA Convention, aims to increase the understanding and application of skills necessary to secure coaching positions in women’s basketball, increase the understanding and awareness of competencies necessary for success in coaching, introduce female basketball players to coaches and administrators and raise awareness of the existing talent pool of female basketball players who have a passion and interest in coaching the game of women’s basketball.
 
Chandler, who played in 114 games over four seasons for the Bearcats, was an American Athletic Conference All-Academic pick in 2015-16 and a BIG EAST All-Academic selection in 2012-13.
