Ali Kershner joined the Stanford staff in 2019 and is responsible for all aspects of athlete performance enhancement for women’s basketball and women’s golf.

Before Stanford, she was an Assistant Sports Performance Coach at Kansas from 2017-2019 and spent the two years prior to that as a graduate assistant in the department. In her position she primarily worked with the women’s soccer, women’s basketball, swimming and women’s golf teams.

Originally from Palo Alto, California, Kershner graduated from Duke in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in evolutionary anthropology. While in Durham she spent four highly-successful seasons as a member of the soccer team. A captain and goalkeeper for the Blue Devils, Kershner notched 28 career starts and collected 92 saves. Her Duke teams advanced to the Elite Eight three times and made the College Cup final in 2011. She was named to the All-ACC Academic Team in each of her four seasons.

Kershner earned her master's in exercise physiology from Kansas in 2017. She is a certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
