Brian Shank enters his third season as technology coordinator with Stanford women's basketball in 2024-25.

Shank arrived on The Farm after spending eight seasons with Rutgers women's basketball where he served as the director of video and assistant director of basketball operations. Shank moved into those roles after spending two seasons as a manager with the program from 2014-16.

As a student at Rutgers, Shank also worked with the school's football program along with various summer camps on campus, including wrestling, men's soccer, men's lacrosse and both basketball programs.

Shank spent the summer of 2015 as a student intern with the Lafayette women’s basketball team.

The nephew of former Rutgers women’s basketball coach Theresa Grentz, a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2022, Shank has also worked as the Vice President/Director of Operations with Grentz Elite Coaching, which provided players with individualized basketball instruction and skill development, as well as camps and clinics throughout the country.

Shank features experience working with USA Basketball in Colorado Springs as well, earning roles in 2017 and 2019 for national team tryouts for various international tournaments.

A native of Somerset, New Jersey, Shank graduated from Rutgers in 2016 with a degree in exercise science with a concentration in sports management, along with a masters in global sports business in 2022.
