Melissa Stringer

Melissa Stringer serves as the Associate Athletics Director of Academic Services at Stanford University. She joined Undergraduate Advising and Research as an Academic Advisor for student-athletes in August 2013 and was promoted to Director in August 2016.

A former Division I athlete and native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Stringer especially enjoys working with talented student-athletes who have a passion for learning. Melissa advises student-athletes on the Stanford curriculum, major selection, undergraduate requirements and policies, and other useful campus resources.

After receiving a degree in Psychology from Harvard University, where she was a member of the softball team, Melissa worked at the Harvard Varsity Club and served as an academic advisor and proctor at Harvard for three years.
