Emily Munro joined the Stanford staff as the Assistant Coach in June of 2022.

A former Oregon and Arizona State standout, Munro recently finished her playing career at ASU with 47 goals and 11 assists during the 2022 season while earning her Master's of Science in Digital Audience Strategy. She also earned her Bachelor's Degree in Tempe in 2021, majoring in liberal studies.

"Our program is experiencing tremendous growth right now, and the sport of women’s lacrosse is evolving," said head coach Danielle Spencer, who is entering her fourth season on The Farm. “Emily will help us coach and recruit the next generation of players."

Munro's final season with the Sun Devils was the most successful in program history as the team earned signature wins over No. 6 Rutgers and No. 16 USC. Munro started all 35 games during her time in Arizona and helped the team to a program-best No. 19 ranking at the end of the 2022 season.

Munro also brings experience as a JM3 Coach and Consultant to Stanford. With JM3, a lacrosse development organization, Munro instructed athletes on a variety of offensive strategies and facilitated film sessions across the United States.

"Emily hails from a lacrosse family, and brings with her an innovative approach to teaching and playing the game," added Spencer. "She complements our team culture because she loves the game, is curious and self-motivated. I’m proud to welcome Emily to Stanford.”
