- Parents are Jacques Klok and Anita Meiland
- Has two siblings, Anne and Esther
- Mother, Anita, rowed on Dutch National team and competed in the 1992 Olympics in quadruple sculls.
- Father, Jacques, rowed for Dutch National team at an under-23 championship
- Sister, Anne, rowed at Duke
