Kayley Sullivan was named volunteer assistant coach ahead of the 2018 season, as announced on July 20 by Knowles Family Director of Women's Soccer Paul Ratcliffe. 

Sullivan, a native of Lorton, Virginia, spent the 2017-18 season coaching for the Washington Spirit Development Academy in Virginia, also having spent 10 years coaching U4-U8 players in McLean, Virginia. Sullivan played four seasons at George Washington from 2009-12, graduating with a degree in psychology with a concentration on cognitive neuroscience and a minor in mind-brain studies after captaining the team her senior season. Sullivan holds her National Youth License and TOVO T1 Certificate, and is currently working toward a USSF C-License.

Outside of soccer, Sullivan has spent time researching with the American Psychological Association on social-emotional development as well as teaching for the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) in Washington D.C. – she is certified in early childhood education as well as teaching English as a foreign language. Sullivan’s younger sister Andi played four seasons at Stanford from 2014-17 before being selected No. 1 overall in the NWSL by the Washington Spirit.
