Kirstie Chen Season 2010-11

Best Times: 200 Fly (1:58.61, 2012), 400 IM (4:15.53, 2012)

International Competition: Swam at the Santa Clara Invite, finishing 23rd in the 400 IM (4:53.54).... reached the B Finals of the 400 IM at the 2010 National Championships in Irvine, finishing 13th... Swam at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in 2009 and the FINA World Youth Championships in 2008... also swam for the U.S. at the Victoria Championships.

2011-12 (Sophomore): Swam 13th in the 200 fly at Pac-12s (1:58.64) and won the C Finals and finished 17th in 400 IM (4:15.53)... during the regular season, scored points with a third place finish in the 200 IM and was a part of the winning 200 free relay team in a dual with Pacific... also third in a dual with Utah in the 200 IM and 200 fly... reached the A Finals of the Arena Invite in the 200 fly and 400 IM, where she was eighth... finished fifth in the 200-yard fly in the tri-meet with Michigan and Florida in the fall.

Stanford in 2010-11 (Freshman): At Pac-10s, swam to 14th place in the 400 IM (4:15.99) and 15th in the 200 fly (1:59.59), the ladder a season-best... was also 20th in the 200 IM (2:01.38)... helped scored points for the Cardinal in the dual win over Arizona with a third place finish in the 400 IM... swam a season-best of 4:12.52 in the 400 IM at the Long Beach Arena Invite.

High School, Club and Personal Data: Four-year varsity swimmer at Whitney High... team finished third at the CIF Championships in 2009... state champion in the 200 IM all four seasons (2007-10), winning the 100 back in 2007 and 2008 and the 100 fly in 2009 and 2010... four-time team MVP... also named the to the Long Beach Press-Telegram's Dream Team and was named the Girls' Swimmer of the Year... set the CIF record in the 200 IM... member of the La Mirada Armada Club... set the seven school-records in the: 100 and 200 back, 100 and 200 fly and 200 and 400 IM and 100 breast... left as the state record holder in the 400 IM for girls 15-16... daughter of Steven and Lillian Chen... has one younger brother, Ethan... majoring in biology.
